Terms and Conditions for Online / E-Learning / On-Demand Courses

1. Introduction

1.1 These terms apply to online, e-learning, and on-demand courses provided by Prescription Training Company Ltd, trading as The Medication Training Company Ltd (“The Medication Training Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).

1.2 These terms form the agreement between us and the client, purchaser, organisation, or learner in respect of online, e-learning, and on-demand courses.

1.3 No variation shall be effective unless such variation is agreed in writing by us.

1.4 Verbal agreements will not form part of these terms.

1.5 All prices are quoted exclusive of value added tax, which will be added at the rate applicable on the date the invoice is issued.

1.6 Full payment is due before course access, vouchers, licences, or voucher codes are issued, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

1.7 We may update, amend, replace, or withdraw online course content where needed to maintain accuracy, safety, quality, or compliance with legal, regulatory, or professional requirements.

2. Vouchers, Licences and Course Access

2.1 Online course vouchers, licences, or voucher codes are issued by email once payment has been received or agreed payment terms are in place.

2.2 Vouchers, licences, or voucher codes may be issued either to an individual learner or to the purchasing organisation’s nominated contact.

2.3 The purchasing organisation is responsible for issuing voucher codes to the correct learners.

2.4 Access to an online course is granted when the voucher, licence, or voucher code has been successfully redeemed and allocated to a registered learner.

2.5 Each voucher, licence, or course place is for one learner only.

2.6 Vouchers, licences, course places, and learner accounts must not be shared, reused, transferred, sold, or allocated to multiple learners.

2.7 Vouchers are not transferable between different courses unless agreed by us in writing.

2.8 Redeemed vouchers may only be reassigned to another learner at our discretion and only where no part of the course assessment, quiz, or certification process has been accessed or attempted by the original learner.

2.9 An administration fee may apply for any agreed voucher reassignment.

2.10 Vouchers, licences, and voucher codes are non-refundable once issued.

3. Course Completion, Certification and Validity

3.1 Learners must complete all required course content, assessments, quizzes, declarations, or other required elements to the required standard before a certificate is issued.

3.2 Each certificate is valid for the period stated on the relevant course page.

3.3 Purchasing an online, e-learning, or on-demand course provides access and certification only for the stated course and certificate validity period.

3.4 Purchase of a course does not provide lifetime access, unlimited retakes, free annual renewals, or ongoing certification beyond the stated certificate validity period.

3.5 Once a certificate expires, further training or recertification must be completed through the purchase of the appropriate refresher, renewal, or replacement course.

3.6 It is the responsibility of the learner and/or purchasing organisation to download and keep a copy of any awarded certificate for their own records.

4. Course Resets, Retakes and Learner Records

4.1 Online, e-learning, and on-demand courses are not sold as lifetime or unlimited-use products.

4.2 We do not reset, erase, clear, or restart completed courses for the purpose of allowing learners to retake the course or obtain a new certificate from the original purchase.

4.3 Learner progress, assessment results, completion records, and certification data are retained for audit, compliance, and training record purposes.

4.4 Learner records will not be deleted or reset simply to allow a learner or organisation to reuse a previous course purchase.

4.5 Where further training, refresher training, or recertification is required, the relevant course must be purchased in line with our current pricing.

4.6 Access to course materials after completion is provided only for the duration of the certificate validity period.

4.7 For courses with non-expiring or lifelong-validity certificates, access is provided for one year from completion unless otherwise stated.

4.8 After the relevant access period ends, access to the course may be deactivated.

5. Learner Responsibility and Account Use

5.1 Learners are responsible for ensuring that their name, email address, and account details are correct.

5.2 Certificates will be issued using the learner details provided.

5.3 Learners must complete their own training and assessments.

5.4 A course must not be completed by one person on behalf of another.

5.5 Login details must not be shared.

5.6 We may withhold or cancel certification where we reasonably believe that course access, assessments, or learner accounts have been misused.

6. Technical Access

6.1 Learners are responsible for ensuring that they have suitable internet access, device compatibility, browser access, email access, and any required software to complete the course.

6.2 We are not responsible where a learner cannot access or complete a course because of issues with their own device, internet connection, browser, email settings, firewall restrictions, employer IT restrictions, or other local technical problems.

6.3 Learners or purchasing organisations should contact us promptly if they experience access issues, so that reasonable support can be provided where possible.

7. Course Updates and Superseded Courses

7.1 We regularly review and update online course content to maintain accuracy and currency.

7.2 If a course is updated, replaced, superseded, or withdrawn, we may transfer any unredeemed vouchers to the most appropriate alternative course at our discretion.

7.3 We are not required to continue providing access to outdated or superseded course content where it has been replaced for accuracy, safety, regulatory, or professional reasons.

8. Course Materials and Intellectual Property

8.1 All online course content, text, videos, slides, downloads, resources, assessments, quizzes, certificates, and supporting materials remain our property unless otherwise agreed in writing.

8.2 Course materials are provided for the learner’s own training use only.

8.3 Course materials must not be copied, recorded, photographed, screenshotted, shared, adapted, uploaded, distributed, sold, or used to train others without our prior written permission.

8.4 Purchasing a course does not transfer ownership of the course content or any intellectual property rights to the learner, client, purchaser, or organisation.

9. Refunds and Non-Completion

9.1 Online course vouchers, licences, and voucher codes are non-refundable once issued.

9.2 No refund will be due where a learner fails to redeem, access, complete, or pass a course within the relevant access or validity period.

9.3 No refund will be due where certification is not issued because the learner has not completed the required course elements or assessments to the required standard.

10. Liability and General Terms

10.1 We will provide online, e-learning, and on-demand courses using reasonable care and skill.

10.2 We shall not be liable for loss of profit or any indirect, special, or consequential loss arising from the provision or use of the online course.

10.3 Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the relevant course, except where liability cannot legally be limited, including death or personal injury caused by negligence.

10.4 We shall not be liable for delay or failure to perform our obligations where this is due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

10.5 English law applies to these terms, and the parties agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

10.6 Nothing in these terms gives rights to any third party under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 or otherwise.
