This practical course, delivered by an experienced nurse or pharmacist, teaches how to safely assemble, operate, and monitor nebulisers in order to safely administer inhaled medicines.

Care support workers, nurses, school staff and personal assistants

Practical in-person workshop (max 16 delegates) run by one of our pharmacist / nurse trainers

- When to use a mask vs mouthpiece
- How to add the medicines
- What monitoring does the individual need?
- Nebulisation time – how long should it be used for
- Side effects of nebulised medication
- Infection control issues precautions
- How to clean and store a nebuliser
- How often to service a nebuliser
- When to seek further advice
