Course overview
Nebuliser training: administering inhaled medicines via a nebuliser
This is a theory and practical course where delegates will learn about nebulisers, then have to put together and safely operate various designs of nebulisers. They will be assessed and supported by one of our nurse / pharmacist trainers.

Care support workers, nurses, school staff and personal assistants

Practical in-person workshop (max 16 delegates) run by one of our pharmacist / nurse trainers

- How to connect and operate a nebuliser
- When to use a mask vs mouthpiece
- How to add the medicines
- What monitoring does the individual need?
- Nebulisation time – how long should it be used for
- Side effects of nebulised medication
- Infection control issues precautions
- How to clean and store a nebuliser
- How often to service a nebuliser
- When to seek further advice

This course is accredited by CPD Assessed.
