This course teaches staff, including vehicle drivers and more formal care staff, how to support individuals with allergies and anaphylaxis.
There are written tests which participants will take to test their knowledge of the theory, after reading the workbook provided. There are also practical tests of competency which will be undertaken during the face-to-face workshop.

Staff in all health and social care settings, transport staff.

- How do we minimise risk of exposure to allergens in settings and the community?
- How to recognise an anaphylactic reaction
- How to treat an anaphylactic reaction
- How to inject adrenaline using the various models of adrenaline auto-injector
- Who to contact after treatment
- Calling an ambulance
