Course overview
Course last audited November 2024
Would you know how to respond safely if someone you were driving in your vehicle had a seizure? Would you recognise that they were having a seizure? Would you be able to provide suitable first aid?
Increasing numbers of people with epilepsy are being prescribed rescue medicines such as midazolam, which can stop a seizure. However, it is vital that for anyone to administer these medications safely, they must be trained and competent. This workshop provides this training, which conforms with ESNA guidelines.
When the training is complete, we assess knowledge with an exam on the day. Our pharmacist or nurse trainer will assess your individual competency to administer buccal midazolam during the face-to-face workshop.
Aimed at
Those who transport people with epilepsy.
