This course will teach you how to manage, report and learn from medication incidents. It will enable you to provide the correct response to Safeguarding Teams and the Care Quality Commission.
This half-day Foundation Course in Medicines Administration teaches how to safely prepare for, select, administer and record medicines as a step-by-step process, against a comprehensive competence checklist (built from our many years of research into why medication errors occur). This ensures medicines are given in a safe and systematic way, reducing the risk of mistakes through complacency. These skills are assessed after the course with our online Virtual Medication Round. This course has been shown to reduce errors by 36% in a study by Hampshire County Council.
